“A person can run for years but sooner or later he has to take a stand in the place which, for better or worse, he calls home, do what he can to change things there.” -Paule Marshall (1969)
It is our nature, and really our responsibility, to change things for the better. Some causes resonate with us, we are compelled to help, we can’t help it. Some causes come to us – through an illness, or a friend or relative whom we love. There is always some way we can invoke change, some way we can make a difference. When something moves you, go with it as an opportunity to learn and grow, and change the world.
